Sealed is the outcome of a long recording and mixing process and contains songs from a longer period of time. For example "The Good the Bad and the Beerbelly" is the very first song we ever did as a band. Some parts resulted from our sessions in the AZ Mülheim so called "Müllerhaus" rehearsal room, some developed in our old rehearsal place at the Werthacker bunker or chris little old cellar. It took a while to put it all togheter but the extra time was definitely worth it.
The non-album track "Dirk Benedicts Blister" was originally released on our very first limited cassette "Orange Swan Live". Our friend Max Walter a.k.a. unmenge transformed the re-recording of that classic fuzzy-delayish nearly twelve minutes long post-something-Orange-Swan-thing into a lovely (and little weird) three minute tinder soft noise mix. The "closer" of Sealed, "This Summer", is also an Orange Swan classic but remains undisclosed until Sealed was released . "This Summer" was recorded live on the 27th of august 2015 at the 40° Urban Art Festival in a broken down old building on our super little tascam. Even if there were just a bunch of people at this guerilla off-location show, it was one of our best gigs. So we decided to put this rough but keen version on the tape. Shouts to the "Magnificent Seven" and everybody who participated on that night and made it a special one! Also creds to the mighty Andreas Brinke, famous for being one of two bassplayers in the incredible [ B O L T ], who was doing the mix for this live version.

We have to thank Benjamin Nick a.k.a. Mies Gelaunt for recording, mixing and his patience. It wasn’t always easy with us. Also many thanks to Andreas Brinke for the additional mix and final mastering. You totally rule! Last but not least: Hugs and kisses to Max Walter a.k.a unmenge for the fine remix and his helping hand on different details.
All Songs written and composed originally by Orange Swan. "Dirk Benedicts Blister" is remixed by unmenge. The remix is based exclusively on original song material of "Dirk Benedicts Blister".
